Though it looks airy and sleek, this Weight Watchers scale is plenty sturdy as well as incredibly accurate. Designed to start weighing as soon as you step on, the scale displays its readings on a 1.2-by-3-inch LCD monitor. Using a four load cell system for precision, measurements are accurate to .1 pounds and zero out as soon as you step off the platform. The platform is made from high-strength, impact-resistant glass, while the durable plastic frame is finished with a gleaming chrome exterior. The scale is easy to pick up and comfortable to stand on, as well as an easy match for most contemporary bathrooms. A simple switch on the underside lets you change from pound readings to kilograms, and the lifetime lithium batteries are easy to access (though you should never need to replace them). Measuring 12-1/4 by 13-3/8 inches, the scale is sized to accommodate larger feet and holds up to 380 pounds (175 kilograms). Conair includes a 10-year warranty. --Emily Bedard

2 out of 5 stars Nice Looking and Long Lasting but Inconsistent   September 14, 2008
I've had this scale for years, and it's still working. I've never had to replace the batteries. The readout is large and easy to read. The problem is that the readings are inconsistent from minute to minute by as much as five pounds. I put a footprint for the scale on a level spot on the bathroom floor with electrical tape, and that's helped. It also seems to be sensitive to where you step on it, i.e., in the center or towards the edges. This scale drives me nuts!!! I've kept it because it looks nice, keeps working, I don't weigh myself that often and I'm cheap. But now that I'm seriously trying to loose some body fat, this scale is destined for in the trash.

5 out of 5 stars Accurate for the fat man   June 10, 2008
Since the weight capacity for this scale is 380 pounds, I expected it to be more accurate than most of the dial scales that I've used in the past with a 300 pound capacity... especially since I'm hovering around that 300 pound mark. I've been very pleased with its consistency as I am on Weight Watchers and seeing a pound or two drop off each week.

The large digital readout is definitely a great feature. No more squinting to see where that red dial falls on those itty bitty black lines. I used to "guesstimate" my weight - now I know what it is!

Does it actually weigh me at my correct weight? Well, I've always felt that your weight is somewhat relative to the scale you use. I don't care if this scale weighs me 30 pounds more than at the doctor's office (which it doesn't) because THIS is the scale I weigh on regularly. If I lose 10 pounds on this scale, I would imagine I would've lost the same 10 pounds on the doctor's scale. The actual number doesn't interest me - it's the difference between the numbers that does. So... to answer the question, I don't know if it weighs me the same as the doctor's scale. I don't care if it does or not.

1 out of 5 stars Very Disappointed   April 28, 2008

I was very excited when we bought this scale. I thought it was very accurate in the beginning. However, my husband kept telling me that his weight would change by 5-10 lbs within a minute, 5 minutes, etc..Finally it happened to me and I realized he was right. I got out our old scale that is not digital and weighed myself. I was 5 lbs lighter on that one. To make sure that one was accurate I put my dumb bells on it and it read it exactly, then I added other items just to make sure. SUre enough, our old $10 scale was right. I think most of the digital scales are not going to be very good. I am going to stick with our non-digital scale from here on out. Don't be fooled by the technology and the sleek look.

3 out of 5 stars Great appearance but below average accuracy   March 2, 2008
Sometimes this scale will report the same weight from minute to minute. Other times, your weight will vary as much as one to two pounds. Three of us have tried this with the same result and we are not very impressed.

1 out of 5 stars Not worth the money   February 16, 2008
I bought this scale to keep track of my weight loss and exercise program. This scale does not take an accurate weight. Even if I have just been to the doctor's office, the scale will say that I have gained 10 lbs in a 15 minute drive. Despite reading the manual and following the directions, this scale is next to impossible to program. Maybe I have a defective scale, but based on the other reviews, I doubt it.
